Summary:

This is a product role ideal for someone who enjoys working with data and wants to apply their skills to tackle product-related inquiries and contribute to the initial development of new data products, particularly those related to Controlled Substance data solutions. As a Product Analyst, you will play a role in supporting users in answering questions about the data, presenting findings to relevant stakeholders, and enhancing your understanding of our products and the connections between various data sets. In this position, you'll leverage a combined skill set encompassing both data analytics and a product-focused approach.

What You’ll Do:

• Learn Bamboo Health’s products, markets, and customers to understand the healthcare outcomes we strive to deliver.

• Develop a working understanding of our Controlled Substance products and our data models to support teammates with querying (SQL) projects.

• Familiarize yourself with how data is passed between applications and ultimately reported to external users via extracts and Tableau.

• Assist internal stakeholders in delivering one-off requirements to clients on an as needed basis.

• Address reporting related questions and concerns. Own a path to resolution and delivery to the requestor.

• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve technical issues.

• Support conversations pertaining to data sourcing and reporting output. Answer questions for internal and external stakeholders around the data and how it is presented in reporting.

• Participate in user acceptance testing and quality assurance testing.

• Create product documentation alongside Product Owners including, but not limited to, user guides and data dictionaries. Maintain documentation to reflect enhancements made to product offerings over time.

• Immerse yourself in the daily responsibilities of the job, dedicating most of your time to operational goals to keep the team aligned with the product roadmap and strategic direction.

• Form strong partnerships with client-facing stakeholders, Product Owners, and Data Engineers to understand and support their processes and work.

What Success Looks Like…

In 3 months…

• You have access to all necessary data and are beginning to understand the sources and deliverables of that data. You can connect to the database and query with guidance.

• You understand the mission of Bamboo Health and how our reporting contributes to our company’s goals.

• You are playing an active role in answering questions about the data driven by enhanced business and data domain knowledge.

In 6 months…

• You are taking ownership of day-to-day data requests and questions, while relying on your teammates for subject matter expertise.

• You can query the database, document your process, and articulate your findings.

• You are familiar with the data models and how they relate to existing product. You are beginning to understand how the many applications are related and how to connect the data of each platform.

In 12 months…

• You can confidently answer questions related to Tableau, Data Extracts, Internal Reports, and more.

• You understand the limitations of the data, can communicate said limitations in relation to specific projects.

• You are able to share your findings with a broader audience to guide product strategy and road mapping.

What You Need:

• Either a four-year degree in a related field plus a strong interest in problem solving with data or professional experience in data analysis with a strong interest in business problems for healthcare.

• 3+ years of professional experience in data analysis with a strong interest in business problems for healthcare.

• Basic SQL query skills with an interest in enhancing and improving those abilities, along with comfort in working with relational databases.

• Experience in visualizing data through Power BI, Tableau, or Excel pivot tables is preferred; however, a strong willingness to learn is also highly valued.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• The ability to take initiative and work independently. Can effectively manage tasks without constant oversight.

• Strong self-awareness and proactive communication.

• Passion for data-driven decision making and continuous learning.

• A work environment that is conducive to high quality virtual interactions. This includes but is not limited to being able to work from a quiet space with minimal interruptions or distractions, and a strong internet connection.

• The ability to travel periodically for work.

• A high level of judgment, analytical ability, and creativity in investigating problems that require original and innovative solutions.
