Why This Role Is Important To Arcadia

The Sr. Analyst will join the Analytics team of a high-growth Population Health and Analytics software company. This role reports to the Team Lead of VBC Contract Analytics and will involve creation of a set of contract analytics reports and insights.

What Success Looks Like
In 3 months
- Gain familiarity with Arcadia’s data model and data ingestion process
- Learn analytics team’s reporting tools (Redshift SQL database, QuickSight BI product)
- Ideate with leadership and help shape new product design and delivery

In 6 months
- Have created a set of new insights for Arcadia customers into contract analytics
- Be able to manage customer meetings and have complex conversations about customer need

In 12 months
- Have a fully up and running contract analytics and modeling suite of tools
- Be regularly available to Sales and Marketing to help them describe and present your work to prospects
- Be Arcadia’s contract analytics subject matter expert

What You'll Be Doing

    • Ideating directly with third-party actuaries, Arcadia’s Chief Product and Technology Officer, and Chief Analytics Officer to build out a new contract analytics suite of reports and tools
    • Contribute your own thought leadership and IP to the Arcadia analytics products
    • Help Sales/Marketing by being the subject matter expert on contract analytics
    • Collaborating with talented colleagues – Product Managers, Analysts, and Data Scientists – across Arcadia’s Customer Insights, Data Science, and Product teams

What You'll Bring

    • 2+ Years of healthcare analytic experience
    • A deep understanding of value-based contracts and concepts such as capitation, MLR, Premium, and Risk share
    • Experience and familiarity with medical economics, risk algorithms, and quality
    • Comfortable speaking with clients about their value-based goals and objectives and translating those into concrete deliverables. 
    • Experience analyzing claims data
    • Ability to query and manipulate relational databases with SQL
    • Eagerness to learn, a detail-oriented mindset, and a creative approach to problem solving

Would Love for You to Have

    • Experience working at a health tech data vendor, ACO/CIN Organization, or health insurance company
    • Experience in an actuarial department or with actuarial exams
    • A passion for communicating data through clear and compelling visual design
    • Experience with ETL
    • Experience with a business intelligence dashboarding tool such as QuickSight, Tableau, or Power BI
    • Experience with the AWS platform and writing Athena queries
    • Advanced SQL skills or familiarity with other languages such as Python or R
    • Experience using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
    • Experience using statistical modelling and/or machine learning
