Guild is hiring a Sr. Business Analyst, Engineering Performance to help us scale our organization and technology platform to rapidly power the next waves of massive growth!

We are looking for an experienced software analyst who has a passion for measuring and working towards satisfying the need for continuous improvement. Working with the Director, Engineering Enablement, you will have the responsibility of identifying improvement opportunities within the technology platform, its underlying services, and operational processes. We need someone who can improve data measurements and work across the organization advocating for efficient, effective solutions that exceed our customers’ needs while advancing and scaling our platform.

As a Sr. Business Analyst, Engineering Performance, you will

  • Collaborate across the engineering organization to put systems, processes and metrics in place to measure the overall performance of our platform, processes and organization.
  • Provide measurement, transparency, and visibility across systems performance, efficiency, cost, and SLA attainment, as well as the combined impact on customer experience for the varying customer base segments.
  • Develop and publish performance metrics while integrating data from myriad relevant sources.
  • Analyze customer activities to establish baselines to understand usage patterns, detect anomalies and proactively recommend future-looking solutions
  • Conduct training on performance management with existing and new employees
  • Contribute to the emerging knowledge management practice by ensuring content related to technology platform performance management is up-to-date and reflects information accessibility paramount to Enablement objectives.
  • Be an advocate for learning communities as part of the Enablement group; proactively mentor them on inclusion and best practices.

You are a fit for this role if you have:

  • BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar, or proven equivalent experience
  • 5+ years experience in a software development, SRE, or devops organization
  • Comfortable communicating technical information to a technical audience or leading group discussion on technical subject matter.
  • An ability to express technical data and measurement from an end user perspective.
  • Extensive experience with APM platform integration, SDLC including gitops, API design, event-driven architecture, CI/CD, automated QA testing, AWS serverless deployment
  • Experience with different engineering tools and technologies such as SQL, Datadog, FullStory, Velocity Code Climate, Jira, Clubhouse, Looker etc. in bringing together different data to understand how systems are performing.
  • Good interpersonal, coaching, listening, and mentoring skills

  • Ability to optimally explain technical concepts and processes to other engineers, product managers, and other partners across Guild.
  • Proven curiosity and interest in keeping up and experimenting with new processes and technologies.

We feel passionately about equal pay for equal work, and transparency in compensation is one vehicle to achieve that. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a base salary range of $130,000-$152,500, as well as company stock options.
