To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for experienced Business Intelligence Analysts to enable Grammarly to make better, faster business decisions using data. This function within the broader Data team at Grammarly will focus on building the next-generation Business Intelligence stack, fostering a data-driven culture in the entire organization, and empowering decision-makers at all levels of the company with a single source of truth.
BI analysts will work closely with the product, marketing, and business stakeholders, the Data Engineering team, and other Analytics professionals to develop scalable BI solutions for the company. Read more about our stack or hear from our team on our technical blog.
Your impact
As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will:
- Work with various product and business stakeholders to develop scalable BI reporting solutions.
- Work with the Data Engineering team to provide high-quality data requirements and leverage underlying data foundation to build solid data ETL pipelines.
- Contribute to the strategy of the Product and Growth teams.
- Identify new opportunities for the use of data for all functions across Grammarly.
- Provide data-driven solutions to enable teams across the company.
We’re looking for someone who

- Is able to collaborate in person 3 weeks per quarter, traveling if necessary to the hub where the team is based.
- Has strong data ETL pipeline development and data visualization experience.
- Preferably has 5 years of working experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role and holds a master’s degree in a quantitative field.
- Has strong analytical and critical thinking skills, and a strong bias toward actionable insights.
- Has a passion for communicating insights through the language of data.

For San Francisco–based employment: Grammarly takes a market-based approach to compensation, meaning pay may vary depending on your location. Base pay may vary considerably depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Our compensation packages include equity; a wide range of medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance options; retirement benefits; and parental leave. We offer twenty days of paid time off per year (global), eleven days of paid holidays per year (US and Canada), and unlimited sick days (global).
The expected salary range for this position is outlined below by compensation zone and may be modified in the future.
San Francisco:
Zone 1: $226,000 – $281,000/year (USD)
