The opportunity

Grammarly empowers people to thrive and connect whenever and wherever they communicate. Every day, 30 million people around the world use our AI-powered writing assistant. All of this begins with our team collaborating in a values-driven and learning-oriented environment.

To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for an experienced Senior Manager of Analytics to join our Marketing Analytics team and focus on conversion rate optimization. As a leader on this recently formed team, this individual will partner with the Acquisition and Lifecycle teams to elevate testing capability to the next level. The Senior Manager of Analytics will use advanced data analytics knowledge and excellent program management skills to design tests, analyze results, and identify actionable insights to improve volume and efficiency metrics.

Your impact

As Senior Manager of Analytics, you will:

  • Own the experimentation framework and pipeline: Lead hypothesis-driven experiment brainstorm sessions, develop experiment designs, write experiment documents, set up measurement frameworks, and lead experiment review meetings to share results and takeaways and discuss next steps.
  • Oversee tests across key dimensions: audience, channel, creative/messaging, landing page, website journey, and more; help the Acquisition team increase customer registrations, assist the Lifecycle team to improve monetization and retention, and collaborate with the Product Growth team to optimize conversion funnels; and ensure we can run multiple tests at once without conflicts.
  • Efficiently process large amounts of data across multiple data platforms.
  • Design and maintain performance dashboards (Tableau preferred) to enable stakeholders to access key learnings easily.
  • Conduct investigative analyses to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Work with the Data Science and Engineering teams to build techstacks to enable faster executions and better insights.
  • Present findings to senior leadership to build transparency and get buy-in.
  • Help hire, lead, and coach analysts across the Analytics team.

We’re looking for someone who

  • Embodies our EAGER values—is ethical, adaptable, gritty, empathetic, and remarkable.
  • Has a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, operations research, business, math, or another quantitative discipline.
  • Has 8+ years of relevant professional experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance.
  • Has led an experimentation function to optimize the performance of conversion funnels on websites and landing pages and brings high levels of expertise designing experiments and running tests with teams that have resulted in significant conversion rate wins and business upside.
  • Has experience in digital marketing platforms and analytics, especially A/B tests, and multivariate web testing platforms, such as Optimizely and Adobe Target.
  • Possesses solid data analytics skills (SQL, Python, R, or equivalent) and is eager to gain new knowledge and learn new tools.
  • Demonstrates strong team-leading and people-management experience.
  • Displays exceptional project management and communication skills and is able to simplify and present complex analytical concepts to an executive audience.
  • Can think critically, constantly question the status quo, and seek improvement opportunities.
  • Can consider, play out, and weigh alternative scenarios based on strategic objectives.
  • Can work cross-functionally with partners across different teams, clearly articulate intents, and properly negotiate to align goals and results.

Bonus points for

  • An advanced degree in operations research, applied mathematics, statistics, economics, business analytics, or engineering.
  • Experience in the SaaS business.
