Senior Clinical Data Analyst -Quality | REMOTE

Full time | 40 hours weekly

Monday-Friday 8am-5pm CST/CDT


What You Will Do

  • Conduct quality data analysis and clinical decision support for designated system(s).
  • Support measurement and system improvement. Develop quality, safety, reliability and customer satisfaction metrics and analytics.
  • Collaborate on metric development, reporting system design and design and delivery of routine and ad hoc reports.
  • Develop approaches to presenting information including presentations and communications. Support advance project management, improvement initiatives and tactical decisions/plans.
  • Benchmark national best practices and makes recommendations for change as appropriate


What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Reg Health Info Tech credentialed from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) preferred.

Education:

  • High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree required.


Additional Preferences

A Senior Clinical Data Analyst collects, reports and monitors the organization’s clinical quality data to help Quality stakeholders make informed decisions. Examines complex data to optimize the efficiency and validity of the data being collected, resolves data integrity problems, and collaborates with database developers to improve database reporting.

  • Serves as a key resource for our Quality customers, to provide viable analytical solutions to identified data needs.
  • Assists in evaluating proposals for reports through an understanding of the organization’s reporting software applications.
  • Assists in planning and implementing activities required for the collection and analysis of data related to Quality needs, including the development of data collection systems.
  • Maintains departmental data collection systems (databases and spreadsheets) by troubleshooting problems, providing user support and education, and promoting integration with other systems.
  • Develops and runs basic data queries. Creates and manages spreadsheets to support Quality areas and organizes them in a format that enhances customer ease of use.
  • Distills departmental processes and projects to key functions; documents and reviews to identify opportunities for automation or improvement.
  • Works with Quality customers to clarify and plan for their current and future analytical needs.
  • Collaborates on improvement activities to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  • Coordinates with team members to ensure consistency and optimization of department’s work products.
  • Utilizes data visualization software products to enhance understanding of data insights and the identification of opportunities for improvement.
  • Proactively maintains current knowledge of data reporting and visualization software to ensure ideal work products for customers.
  • Assists in the development of clinical quality metrics to assess the impact of improvement activities.
  • Designs and implements projects using multiple technical platforms requiring systems integration.
  • Supports complex project management, improvement initiatives and tactical plans with limited guidance.
  • Possesses excellent self-directed problem-solving skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Has outstanding written and oral communication abilities.

Required

  • Mastery in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience building report queries

Preferred

  • Proficiency in Tableau or similar data visualization tools
  • Familiarity with statistical measures
  • Healthcare industry knowledge
  • Population health and value-based care knowledge
  • Clinical quality measure knowledge
  • Experience with Google suite applications
  • Bachelor’s degree
