We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst that will work with people from around the company to answer core strategic business questions. Your time will be split between digging into the data, analyzing the findings, and presenting recommendations. Because you will be attacking strategic problems, this role will have a lot of visibility across the company.
How You Will Spend Your Day:
- Work with business leaders across TeamSnap to define strategic analyses that could have the greatest impact on the business based on a solid understanding of TeamSnap’s customers and products.
- Work with the distributed team to determine what data exists and how best to access it.
- Pull the data from wherever it resides (e.g., SQL or Google Analytics), massage it, and analyze it.
- Synthesize your insights to develop actionable recommendations.
- Present your findings using visual representations to boil the data down into key digestible bites.
- Develop automated, consistent, repeatable processes and standard formats for various stakeholders to access this data.
- Work to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of our data analysis infrastructure.
- Partner with product managers and marketers to define and implement the data needed to determine the effectiveness of new features and marketing initiatives.
- Oversee and collaborate with additional TeamSnap analysts.
Skills and Attributes We’d Like You To Have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Math, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Business, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of work experience in user and systems-level analytics, management consulting, or business strategy
- You live and breathe data - gathering it, analyzing it, applying it to the real world & utilizing it to solve real problems
- Experience working with imperfect data sets. After all, life isn’t perfect.
- Strong SQL skills combined with experience with web tracking solutions (e.g., Google Analytics) and visualization tools (Tableau experience is a bonus)
- Prior experience analyzing marketing or customer data with some experience doing statistical analysis and a basic understanding of statistical modeling concepts
- Strong background in quantitative thinking coupled with a heavy dose of common sense
- Prior experience in SaaS or technology company highly preferredStrong business intuition and ability to understand complex business systems
- The ability to clearly communicate complex results to team members and leadership team
- Ability to succeed in a collaborative, distributed environment
- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills with the ability to communication across all levels of the organization
