Bestow is searching for a Senior Analyst to join our fast-paced and growing data & analytics team. You will have experience with SQL/Python, business intelligence tools, KPI tracking, and data to uncover actionable insights. As a Senior Analyst, you will help lead the data & analytics team to build a robust and comprehensive analytics practice to drive decision-making within Bestow.
You will work with numerous departments within the organization, clearly communicate updates to business stakeholders, collaborate with team members, and implement individual projects. If all of this is in your wheelhouse, we would like to hear from you!

Your Day to Day;
Analysis and Reporting Responsibilities:
- Create reports and dashboards that communicate the story behind the data to key business stakeholders
- Conduct exploratory analysis with various datasets to support strategic initiatives within the insurance team and uncover actionable insights
- Monitor critical KPIs across the insurance team and build analysis to explain any deviations from expected thresholds
- Build and maintain a suite of self-serve reporting to streamline data access, visibility, and analysis for stakeholders
- Support evaluations of new data vendor integrations and contribute to overall business cost/benefit analysis
Stakeholder Management Responsibilities:m
- Lead the relationship with our insurance platform team to gather requirements for reporting and analytics needs
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align on priorities and timelines
- Drive forward the partnership between analytics and insurance platform through continuous delivery of high-quality work and open communication
- Participate in daily and weekly team meetings to proactively communicate project updates, timelines, and blockers
Data Infrastructure Responsibilities:
- Write SQL queries that clean, join, and extract data from our data warehouse
- Contribute to the maintenance of overall data architecture to ensure data parity between various sources
- Collaborate with the data engineering team to obtain access to needed datasets and develop a model for ideal data structure
- Work closely with internal partners in product and engineering to ensure data integrity and reporting consistency
A Little About You:
- 5 + years of professional experience in data or analytics (any background in underwriting data or risk assessment a plus)
- Experience working with relational databases and data warehouses like BigQuery, Redshift, and Snowflake
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in SQL (window functions, row number functions, CTEs, complex join logic, and query optimization)
- Exceptional quantitative skills and fluency with data and its interpretation and impact on business strategy
- Strong communication skills and experience working with multiple team-leads across the company
- Experience with business intelligence tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.)Demonstrated experience communicating complex concepts with data
- Great attention to detail and quality of work
- Bachelor's degree or relevant years of experience
