Why This Role Is Important to Arcadia

The Senior Data Scientist will join the  analytics team of a high-growth Population Health and Analytics software company. This role reports to the Manager of analytics, and will involve creation of a highly impactful risk stratification model for an arcadia enterprise customer.
 
As a Data Scientist, you are central the success of the mission of Arcadia’s Data Science practice. Our Data Scientists have a broad range of responsibilities that both support the continuing growth of our team’s portfolio as well as their own growth as scientists and as professionals. Our expanding set of programs require thoughtful individuals who not only embrace the critical value of effective data analytics but also the value of scientific rigour around their development.

You should be eager to share population health expertise to help Arcadia’s customers unlock more from their data. 

What Success Looks Like
In 3 months
- Gain familiarity with Arcadia’s data model and data ingestion process
- Begin development of a data model for a risk stratification score
- Gain familiarity with Arcadia’s data science platform

In 6 months
- Have developed and delivered a risk stratification score to a large Arcadia customer
- Be comfortable discussing complex concepts with Arcadia customers
- Have a firm understanding of the Arcadia data science platform
- Understand customer use cases around ML/AI

In 12 months
- Be able to continually develop new high value algorithms in Arcadia’s data science platform
- Have met all requirements of development of initial risk stratification score
- Be able to collaborate with other Arcadian’s to maximize the value of data science within Arcadia’s ecosystem

What You'll Be Doing

    • As a Data Scientist, your responsibilities will include building and testing new predictive tools, performing exploratory data analysis on extremely rich health care datasets, evaluating opportunities for new products, and creating effective and striking documents and visuals to share your knowledge and insights with others, both within Arcadia, among our customers, and to the general public.

    • More specifically you will:
    • Intake external requests for analytic support such as
    • o   Development of a highly impactful risk stratification model
      o   Continual improvements to a risk stratification model
    • Help build out Arcadia’s feature store
    • Help ideate and develop new data science models for use across the arcadia customer base

What You'll Bring

    • 3+ Years of healthcare analytic experience
    • Deep understanding of claims data
    • Python experience
    • Ability to query and manipulate relational databases with SQL
    • Proven ability to develop ML algorithms
    • Eagerness to learn, a detail-oriented mindset, and a creative approach to problem solving.

Would Love For You To Have

    • Experience working at a data vendor and ACO/CIN Organization or health insurance company
    • A passion for data modeling and model design
    • Experience with the AWS platform and sagemaker
    • Experience using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence,

This position is responsible for following all Security policies and procedures in order to protect all PHI under Arcadia's custodianship as well as Arcadia Intellectual Properties.  For any security-specific roles, the responsibilities would be further defined by the hiring manager.
