Amherst Services Corporation seeks Senior Financial Data Scientist to work at its office in Austin, TX

Job Description:

Develop modern predictive analytics, identify key areas for improvement and optimization to drive insightful business strategies, and improved business performances. Consult with technology department teams to safely deploy the predictive analytics in scalable and controlled environment. Lead the company through modern predictive analytics and identify most impactful areas for research and development in predictive analytics. Apply financial economics and business intelligence tools to address better visualization and transparency of data analytics. Collaborate with data stewards to improve data availability and quality while ensuring compliance with regulatory and security policies.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in n Computer Science, Data Science, Financial Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, foreign equivalent or closely related field.

Required skills:

Position requires experience in the following specific skills:

  • Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence (AI);
  • Data science toolkit such as SQL or Python (including Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-learn);
  • Data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau); and
  • Statistical packages (e.g., SAS).

Employer will accept skills gained in pursuit of graduate-level degree via coursework, projects or internships. Skills may be gained concurrently.
