Brief Overview:

This Senior Manager role, reporting to the Head of Market Intelligence, will be a primary driver of projects supporting Amwell's growth goals through market and competitive analysis. The ideal candidate will comfortably partner with executive leadership across the organization as a trusted advisor and strategic thought leader. They will directly manage junior team members to deliver actionable recommendations based on synthesis of primary and secondary research. These recommendations will advise mission critical strategies supporting customer needs, positioning Amwell against competitors, navigating market dynamics, and realizing Amwell’s vision.

Core Responsibilities

  • Partner with leaders and teams across the organization to both gather intelligence and share actionable insights as a thought leader in the organization
  • Lead Market Intelligence initiatives in support of executive-level initiatives via combinations of direct reports and cross-functional teams
  • Manage and develop junior team members, cultivating analytical skills and industry knowledge
  • Support the Head of Market Intelligence in developing the group’s roadmap best aligning the resources of the team with the needs of the organization
  • Serve as day-to-day relationship manager for 3rd party research firms as needed
  • Lead delivery of thought leadership and actionable insights / recommendations based on proprietary research and/or novel analysis to further the Amwell brand.
  • Create processes/ mechanisms (e.g. dashboards, KPIs) to systemically promote shared knowledge and drive action throughout the company.

Qualifications

  • 9+ years in the healthcare technology space or 6+ years in consulting with external firm and/or internal consulting organizations
  • Deep understanding of the healthcare ecosystem across payer, provider, and government spaces.
  • Experience working directly with C-Suite executives delivering strategic recommendations and industry insights
  • Demonstrated "healthcare data fluency" and the ability to work with experts in the space.
  • Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to execute on organizational goals.
  • Strong analytic skills as well as demonstrated ability to simply and clearly synthesize and communicate complex ideas and distill into actionable insights and recommendations. 
  • Passionate about improving patient access, experience, and outcomes in the healthcare system.
  • Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience; Master's preferred (e.g. MPH, MBA).

The typical base salary range for this position is $136,880 - $188,210.  The actual salary offer will ultimately depend on multiple factors including, but not limited to, knowledge, skills, relevant education, experience, complexity or specialization of talent, and other objective factors.  In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus based on a combination of company performance and employee performance. Long-term incentive and short-term variable compensation may be offered as part of the compensation package dependent on the role. Some roles may be commission based, in which case the total compensation will be based on a commission and the above range may not be an accurate representation of total compensation.
