About the Role:

You will be part of Extend's Risk Analytics team with ownership of claims analytics and monitoring. You will play a pivotal role in helping to scale the organization.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Support analytics for claims operations. Guide Extend toward robust and actionable tools for the monitoring and improvement of claims operations.
• Work directly with senior leadership to support management of our claims operations through analysis, data insights, creation of data pipelines, and dashboarding.
• Collaborate closely with business partners within Analytics, Operations, Product and Engineering to help automate claims operations, improve customer experience, and lower loss cost.
• Support risk analytics through modeling and forecasting of our claims operations and insurance profitability.

What We’re Looking For:

• A curious, entrepreneurial data scientist with plenty of grit, analytical prowess, creative thinking, and initiative
• Bachelor's degree from a relevant major, Master’s degree is a plus.
• 4+ years of work experience as a data analyst
• 2+ years of experience risk, operations or claims analytics
• Ability to communicate/present across the organization, especially to teams with less data & analytics experience
• Expertise with SQL and Python (or R)
• Empathy and humility

Expected Pay Range: $130,000 per year*
