The Ads Quality team helps Pinners move from inspiration to action by showing the right ad at the right time. We are at the core of the entire ads system optimizing for Pinner, Advertiser, and Pinterest value. In this role, you will be responsible for tackling new challenges, partnering with Engineering to steer the evolution of the machine learning technology stack within ads, and the launch of new Ads Products in partnership with Product Marketing. The ideal candidate for the Advertiser Objectives PM can reason deeply about the needs of Pinners and Advertisers, and evolve our portfolio of advertising products to maximize the long term value created on the platform. This work will be critical in helping hundreds of millions of people find the inspiration to create a life they love. 

 

What you’ll do: 

  • Own the strategy and execution for our ad product portfolio in order to meet the needs of our advertisers while continuing to curate inspiration for Pinners. 
  • Partner closely with teams of engineers, machine learning experts, data science, product marketing, sales, design, user research and more to build technologies, systems, and products that fundamentally improve the Pinner experience and business impact of Pinterest Ads. 
  • Innovate by leveraging their understanding of ML and generative AI solutions to deliver new and delightful advertising experiences for our advertisers.
  • Build a comprehensive suite of innovative ad product offerings that delight advertisers and extend the industry frontier.

 

What we’re looking for:

  • 7+ years of experience working in digital advertising as a Product Manager, Engineering Manager, Applied/Data Scientist, or related role. 
  • 5+ years of experience working on an ML-powered consumer/ business product. 
  • Strong evidence of the ability to define new products and strategies in an ambiguous space and to execute from ideation to go-to-market.
  • Strong ability to empathize with, anticipate the needs of, and effectively collaborate with a diverse set of stakeholders. 
  • Preferred but not required: PhD Degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or related fields.
  • Preferred but not required: Experience in machine learning/information retrieval/ recommendation systems.
