Atlassian can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity, assuming candidates have eligible working rights and a sufficient timezone overlap with their team. As our offices re-open, Atlassians can choose to work remotely or return to an office, unless it’s necessary for the role to be performed in the office. Interviews and onboarding are conducted virtually, a part of being a distributed-first company.

Are you passionate about answering business questions in data, translating data results to business strategies, and driving serious change? If so, this role is for you. • Influence and inform business strategies and execution
    • Business insights
    • Collaborate with leaders to set business goals and track performance
    • Identify business challenges and growth opportunities
    • Conduct insightful analyses on major trends
    • Forecasting and business viability
    • Define, track, and diagnose key business viability metrics
    • Forecast business growth and staffing needs
    • Evaluate business viability impact to inform strategic decisions

Some examples of the skills and tools you'll use are:

    • Analytics: Statistics, advanced analytics, operational KPI development
    • Tools: SQL, Tableau, Excel, Python, R, etc.
You'll work together with business leaders, data scientists, data engineers, workforce planning managers, and operational leaders to deliver impactful outcomes to the organization.

The job is more than just numbers; to be successful you'll need to deeply understand the business, be great at strategic thinking, and be comfortable engaging with business leaders and team members in a global organization.

More about you
You've been working with data for 8+ years and have a BS degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or other quantitative discipline. You have strong business acumen, love driving strategy, making big changes, and influencing others. You value high-quality work with attention to detail and have a track record of delivering both. You combine curiosity with critical thinking and good judgment, and like asking "why" to unravel a seemingly complex problem and get to the root cause. You know how to gather, document, and interpret business requirements.
When you encounter a problem you come up with multiple solutions, weigh the tradeoffs and efforts, identify the best path forward, and exercise good judgment to drive ahead. You're comfortable interacting with people across all levels of an organization and can field questions during a presentation like a pro. You're self-driven and find ways to be impactful.
To keep pace with our rapid growth and evolution you learn new things quickly. You can take an ambiguous assignment and derive valuable insight. You use multiple tools and methods to find trends and correlations by mining data, and couple that with intuition and quick tests to prioritize how to drive forward on complicated problems.
