You will be a be a key contributor to the Jira Align Development Team, which strives to help simplify software at scale by bringing business and software development organizations together in one intuitive platform.

In this role, you will be a Engineering Manager working with the Core Jira Align team on feature implementations initiatives. You will be responsible for helping to build and maintain effective teams, empowering them to achieve their goals. You provide and use inspiration and creativity to help the team solve difficult challenges. With your software engineering skills and experience you will work to help flesh out and provide guidance on engineering initiatives, integrations, new and existing features.

As an Engineering Manager on the Jira Align team, you will also be responsible for the management of individuals reporting to you. Coaching, mentoring, removing blocking issues and supporting them in their professional development to help unlock their full potential and grow.

On your first day, we'll expect you to have:

    • Industry experience leading a team of Engineers
    • 5+ years of prior industry experience as a back-end or full stack engineer
    • Experience building distributed systems for a SaaS product
    • Experience with software development methodologies including Agile, Scrum
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Time management skills and ability to balancing multiple initiatives
    • Passion for mentoring engineers and helping others achieve their career goals
    • Fluency in Microsoft tech stack / languages (C#, scripting languages, etc) with ability to review code & provide feedback, etc.
    • Knowledge of SQL and ETL processes
    • Experience with AWS based services (Redshift, Snowflake, S3, RDS, Kinesis) preferred.
    • Knowledge of data warehousing design principles and practices
    • Knowledge of data modeling, mapping, integration and profiling tools

It's great, but not required, if you have:

    • Microsoft Azure experience
    • Automated deployment and release management
    • Experience with remote and distributed teams
