ABOUT THIS ROLE

The data team helps to ensure that Reforge is the best example of our own material. That means that every department at Reforge uses data to deliver an exceptional experience from someone’s first web site visit to being a happy long term customer. The data team empowers other parts of the org to get answers to questions to help inform what they do, how they do it, and how their efforts impact the business. We are responsible for the infrastructure and tooling that empowers each team. The data team also runs analysis to help understand Reforge’s metrics from a holistic perspective and where our efforts have the greatest impact across the business.

In this role, you’ll be responsible for building and developing a team of high performing analysts. You will work with other cross functional leaders to ensure that teams have the data and processes necessary to design, instrument, measure, and evaluate the effectiveness of changes across every functional department at Reforge. You’ll think through high-level, strategic, cross functional initiatives and help to measure the impact of your team’s contributions.

You'll be joining as part of the foundational team of a profitable proven startup. We bootstrapped to high seven-figure revenue, led by experienced entrepreneurs, and recently we raised a $20M round from A16Z. In addition, you will integrate into our community of subject matter experts, including the leaders who helped build companies like Slack, Pinterest, CreditKarma, ClassPass, ipsy, Eventbrite, SurveyMonkey, Thumbtack, and more.

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH

  • Direct Reports - From the start, you will have two product analysts that will report to you with the goal to bring more onboard.
  • Head of Data - You’ll have the chance to work closely with Dan Wolchonok, who formerly was the Director of Product Analytics at HubSpot and has been a product manager for growth.
  • Data Engineers - Currently, we have one data engineer, Andrew Wilson, who started his career as a computational geophysicist.
  • Leaders of Cross Functional Departments - You’ll partner up with Ginny Mineo - Growth Product Lead, Ali Riehle - Senior Product Designer, Joyce Jang - Director of Engineering, Amanda Lubin - Head of Operations along with our Insights Team leaders, Susan Blake - Group Strategy Lead & Akshita Ganesh - Group Strategy Lead.
  • Recruiting Counterpart - Since you’ll help hire for product analysts, you’ll partner up with our recruiting team on how to hire efficiently while providing a positive candidate experience.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • 1+ years managing a team of analysts, including reviewing the team’s technical product work
  • 5+ years experience contributing to data modeling
  • 5+ years experience building dashboards and visualizations
  • 5+ years experience writing advanced SQL
  • Experience in working with modeling tools like DBT, Snowflake, BI systems
  • Experience in working with behavioral analytics tools
  • Analytics experience on a SaaS product

Nice to Have

  • Reforge alum and/or familiar with the platform
  • Experience analyzing community networks
