The Role

TrueAccord’s Analytics team is responsible for driving our business forward with data.The Analytics Senior Manager will join a rapidly-growing team of highly motivated people who take the TrueAccord mission seriously and are determined to succeed. As with every position on the Analytics team, the ultimate objective of this role is the development and delivery of analyses to cultivate TrueAccord’s strategies and optimize performance.

In this newly-created position, you will have functional ownership of the Analytics verticals supporting TrueAccord’s internal operations. This diverse channel includes everything from developing call center KPI’s and driving agent performance to building revenue forecasts to providing inventory management controls. Throw in ownership of the analytics infrastructure, and you might start scratching the surface of what this position covers! This is a senior level, client-facing, management position--and you will have a crack team of analysts supporting you along the way. The right person for this role is someone who can not only manage the entire Analytics workflow, but who can also communicate the department’s vision clearly and inspire commitment and motivation from the analysts on the team.

Summary of Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Serve as the senior Analytics product manager for TrueAccord’s internal business operations; Work closely with stakeholders in Client Success, Product & Engineering, Sales, Finance, and the call center to ensure that all tactical and strategic objectives are supported by the timely and accurate delivery of reporting, performance measurement, forecasting, and inventory controls
    • Partner with Data Engineering to monitor the data pipeline and make enhancements as needed to optimize query performance and data reliability; Manage the team’s BI resources to maintain alignment with data flow and ensure peak performance
    • Lead a diverse team of analysts on permanent basis, with full management responsibilities; Accountable for quality and timeliness of team’s deliverables
    • Prioritize team’s project backlog, based on business need; Ensure fair and effective work allocation, using every team member’s technical and professional strengths
    • Be a coach to the Analytics team by sharing knowledge, mentoring other analysts, and reinforcing best practices;  Develop and facilitate professional development program for team
    • Achieve scale within Analytics by optimizing analytical tools and techniques, automating processes and removing blockers
    • Demonstrate end-to-end mastery of the Analytics workflow for any directly-assigned projects: Translate a request into an analytical framework (including hypothesis formation), extract relevant data, generate actionable insights through analytical model development, and clearly communicate practical solutions back to the stakeholders
    • Occasionally represent Analytics team in executive-level presentations (including both TrueAccord Executive Committee and senior client stakeholders)

Requirements:

    • A minimum of 10 years of experience using quantitative data analysis to solve problems and drive performance is required
    • At least 8 years of experience managing other analysts is also required
    • Ability to manage professionals working remotely is important
    • Prior experience providing data analysis solutions in a call center environment is a must
    • Fluency in SQL, paired with mastery of data visualization and storytelling, is necessary
    • Competency with business intelligence tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI
    • Ability to merge business objectives and technical data expertise seamlessly to build effective tactical solutions that also align with long-term strategies
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on presenting complex material to executive audiences clearly and concisely
    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills--with the ability to facilitate, negotiate, and influence within in a team environment and across functions
    • Experience setting priorities and managing stakeholder expectations, while balancing requests with business constraints
    • Attention to detail and accuracy, while maintaining a solid awareness of the big picture, are extremely important
    • Must be able to work effectively with little direct supervision and in the face of ambiguity, shifting priorities, and multiple deadlines

Very Nice To Have:

    • BS/MS degree in an analytical discipline: finance, statistics, applied mathematics, computer science, etc.
    • Experience in Financial Services industry--with major bonus points coming from relevant experience in the debt collections space
    • Familiarity with a statistical language, such as R or Python
    • Experience building effective business cases and presenting to executive-level audiences
    • Experience using data-driven insights to influence process improvements
    • Experience leading initiatives to tackle technical debt
