The Role
TrueAccord’s Analytics team is responsible for driving our business forward with data. You will join a rapidly-growing team of highly motivated people who take the TrueAccord mission seriously and are determined to succeed. As with every position on the Analytics team, the ultimate objective of this role is the development and delivery of analytical tools to cultivate TrueAccord’s strategies and optimize performance.
We are looking for a Reporting Data Analyst to help us with a three-month project. In this position, you will play a key role in migrating our catalog of Looker client reports to a new data warehouse. These reports represent the heart of our client deliverables, so accurate migration and flawless execution are critical. This position is full-time remote, and can be based anywhere in the United States.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Update Looker report queries to pull from our new data warehouse in Snowflake
- Where needed, write clean and concise SQL queries to manage large tables and extract the relevant data efficiently
- Participate in report migration QC; Includes conducting peer code reviews, testing/validating migrated reports and visualizations, and providing full documentation of QC efforts
- Other tasks as assigned to help complete the report migration initiative
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience using SQL in big data environments
- At least 2 years of experience creating reports and visualizations in Looker (using LookML)
- Unwavering attention to detail and accuracy are extremely important
- Ability to diagnose report execution errors and spot gaps in query logic
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Must be able to work effectively with little direct supervision and in the face of ambiguity, shifting priorities, and multiple deadlines
Very Nice To Have:
- At least 5 years of SQL experience
- BS/MS degree in an analytical discipline: finance, statistics, applied mathematics, computer science, etc.
- Familiarity with a statistical language, such as R or Python
- Prior experience with report migration initiatives
