Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and support new and preexisting reporting, applications or systems related to data  movement and ingestion 
  • Maintaining existing data load process building blocks and customizations

Required Qualifications:

  • BS/BA degree in Computer Science / Information Systems or any engineering discipline or years of experience in information systems
  • 1+ years of SQL design experience; knowledge of designing, coding and debugging SQL SSIS packages/procedures/views
  • 1+ years Business or systems analysis experience
  • Experience working with Windows operating systems
  • Knowledge and experience with object-oriented design
  • Proven understanding of database modeling concepts: entities/tables, relations/constraints, attribute data types and column data times
  • Proven superior written and oral communication skills
  • Proven ability to develop and manage multiple projects with minimal direction and supervision
  • Proven ability to read and interpret conceptual, logical, and physical models to include context diagrams, data flow diagrams, process flow diagrams, data dictionaries and logical flow charts

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Insurance or healthcare industry experience
  • Demonstrable understanding of RDBMS concepts and their application in ETL – e.g. queries, outer joins, and aggregate and analytical functions
  • Demonstrable ability to independently perform system investigation, reverse engineering, and new development with minimal guidance while adhering to development standards and good change control practices
