The Billing Analyst plays a critical role in the organization's billing operations. This position is responsible for analyzing complex billing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing effective solutions. The Billing Analyst collaborates with cross-functional teams to streamline billing procedures and ensure accurate and timely invoicing.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Process billing transactions, including reviewing and verifying invoices, ensuring accuracy of billing data, and adherence to billing policies and procedures.
  • Generate and distribute invoices to customers in a timely manner.
  • Analyze billing and collections processes, identify gaps, and propose process improvements.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of accounts receivable, identify delinquent accounts, and initiate appropriate collection actions.
  • Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to monitor collections performance and trends.
  • Collaborate with sales, finance, and legal teams to resolve complex billing and collections issues.
  • Provide guidance and support to Billing Specialists and junior analysts.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of collection strategies and policies.
  • Collaborate with IT and finance teams to enhance billing systems and tools.
  • Assist in the development of process improvements by identifying revenue cycle problems and making recommendations for improvements. Research and analyze data to resolve issues, identify and select alternatives to address outstanding issues, and work with management to implement solutions for improvement.

Professional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in billing, finance, or related analytical roles.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques, such as Excel, SQL, or other relevant software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Knowledge of billing systems and understanding of billing processes and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.

Salary Range: $50,000-65,000
