General Mills is seeking a Business Analyst, Digital Marketing Technology with strong business-facing and technical experience to help lead retargeting and integration work to benefit our Box Tops Data & Analytics (DnA) team. This role reports into the CRM Team in Marketing Services/Digital & Technology department.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with GMI marketing teams, vendors, and internal Developer/QA teams to define data-driven personalization executions with a lens into data structure, consumer segmentation, content metadata and maintenance.
  • Guide marketing teams through understanding or using marketing technology and internal team processes
  • Lead working sessions with internal partners to solve problems. Use data to analyze, package insights and develop solutions to solve problems.
  • Gather project requirements from internal marketing team clients and translate requirements into technical documents, identifying and eliminating gaps via partnership with data architects.
  • Translate requirements for Developer/QA teams and serve as day to day contact.
  • Translate progress and questions of technical teams back to marketing team clients.
  • Contribute to documentation regarding data sources.
  • Identify gaps in marketing technology and help source marketing technologies to solve business problems, execute audience development, campaign creation, and content delivery.  Possess strong learning aptitude and interest in working with new technologies. Help source and partner with marketing technology vendors.
  • Follow standard processes for intaking new projects from marketing teams.
  • Understand and communicate timelines, define, and adjust priorities, and set KPIs for each project.
  • Proactively prepare for business meetings by publishing agendas and recapping decisions made in working sessions.
  • Develop and maintain internal and external cross-functional networks to support the goals of the organization.
  • Partner with separate Measurement teams to ensure business partners have access to the data they need.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • B.S. or B.A. degree in business, marketing, statistics, CIS, Information Technology, or related field
  • 3+ ears of relevant experience in a business-facing, solution-based business analyst position
  • 1+ years marketing-related business analyst experience, facing business teams
  • Experience with writing SQL, SAS, or other programming language. SQL is a must
  • Experience with relational data, preferably writing analytical queries
  • Understanding of website or system design and implementation
  • Experience in consumer-focused roles with strong business acumen
  • Proven track record coordinating multiple projects
  • Exceptional organization, project management, and communication skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to understand multiple perspectives and be able to advise a wise course of action
  • Ability to make decisions and work through ambiguity, while laddering up to established priorities
  • Process-driven with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Familiarity with marketing technology tools and vendors (such as Salesforce & Acoustic/email marketing, Google Analytics/site analytics, Sitecore/site content management, Tealium, ect)
  • Ability to lead own work
