Responsibilities

Plans, designs, create and manage reports and analytic solutions data to most effectively utilize Revenue Cycle data and database structures for the support of efforts within the Enterprise Revenue Cycle. Provides technical analysis in designing, implementing, and testing of new and existing reports, software within local or enterprise reporting environments.  Utilizes change management tools and procedures. Participates and leads groups in the gathering of reporting and functional requirements. Works with external systems vendors and/or other external and internal stakeholders to identify issues and attain resolution. Troubleshoots reporting and data structure issues and oversees resolutions. May be required to lead teams relative to specific reporting and analytics initiatives or projects.
Recommends and prioritizes enhancements to existing data structure and reporting applications in collaboration with Enterprise Revenue Cycle leadership, IT, staff and end users. Works closely with IT or other Reporting and Analytics teams to resolve Enterprise Revenue Cycle issues within Mayo information systems. Stays abreast of regulatory changes and makes changes, in collaboration with IT colleagues, as necessary through a detailed project process. Understands and is accountable for ensuring a control environment is maintained to preserve Mayo's Standard of Ethics and minimize the financial and legal risks for Mayo. Maintain inventory and appropriate functional documentation including service level agreements. May work evening and weekend hours as needed.

Qualifications

Four year degree and a minimum of five years' revenue cycle, system, or data delivery experience required.

Master's degree preferred.  Previous healthcare experience required.  Requires knowledge and experience in reporting and analytics delivery software.  Requires knowledge of database and data structure in regards to reporting efficiencies.  Prefer knowledge of physician and hospital billing systems for Governmental, managed care and commercial payers.  Customer-service oriented, timely in responses to requests for service/information, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities, have the ability to work independently and possess leadership skills. Requires knowledge of and experience with Microsoft applications, SQL query language and operating systems. Preferred breadth of experience in industry reporting tools.  Prefer knowledge of the revenue cycle systems.
