Position description

The individual hired to this position will work 100% remotely.

Acts as an internal consultant by applying high order analytics and business expertise to the Mayo Clinic's Education Reporting and Analytics Department. Assists with creating business insights through world class, real time, analytical tools and approaches. Identifies insights that includes, but it are not limited to:

- Support of operational data needs of the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine & Science,
- Self-service tools & dashboards supporting functional areas of department,
- Integration of external data into existing ecosystem of the data warehousing environment, -Analysis supporting data driven decision making,
- Provide input into data architecture supporting future and current needs,
- Assist with developing components of decision support for functional areas of department,
- Assist with data validation tests and QA testing,
- Collect, clean, and aggregates data from multiple sources,
- Create technical documentation,
- Identify and assess business processes within Education that would benefit from optimization and/or automation,
- Utilize BPA/RPA tools and programming to create automated processes. Examples include but are not limited to Automation Anywhere, Catalytic, Python, Macros, MS Power Automate or programming scripts
- Assess additional BPA/RPA software or solutions as options for the toolkit
- Provide leadership as technical expert on EPOET (Education Intake) team
- Other tasks, ad-hoc analysis and reports as needed.

Position requires ability to identify data needs and ability to transform existing variables in a creative and meaningful way to serve the purpose. Requires a creative, solution oriented attitude that is able to deal with imperfections. Candidate needs to have open mind and ability to take concepts developed by other industries and apply them to Education data.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required: Engineering Science, Business Administration, Finance or other related field with strong quantitative analytical skills.

Also, minimum 2 years of experience in business/data analytics.
Knowledge of relational databases (SQL) and experience with Tableau required. (List specific experience on resume.)

Experience in statistical packages, preferably SAS, Python, R/R Studio, STATA or SPSS a plus.

Additional qualifications

Well-developed oral and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize, and organize various tasks on multiple, concurrent projects. Ability to work in a fast pace project environment with limited degree of supervision. Demonstrated initiative/innovation, education, software development, technical reports. Demonstrated success in project management and data intuition. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non technically savvy internal customers.

Experience with some or all of the following business intelligence tools or software is preferred: SAP Business Objects, Alteryx, Crystal Reports, MS Office Suit, Ellucian Banner, Ellucian Recruit, Blackboard, EthosCE, MedHub.

Compensation Detail

Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.  The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approx $2947.20, based on a full-time position.
