The HubSpot People Analytics team helps HubSpot employees (or HubSpotters, for short) thrive so that they can delight customers. We do that by building analytical products to help HubSpotters grow better.

As a Data Analyst, you will help the People Analytics team identify key drivers of employee engagement and performance. The role involves assisting in collecting data through surveys and other sources, analyzing this data using statistics, and communicating insights from the results to partners.

Responsibilities

  • You will collaborate with teammates to identify challenges facing partners, and leverage your passion for improving employee engagement and helping teams grow better through effective data storytelling. You will also design and implement surveys to gather important data.
  • You will be tasked with cleaning data and analyzing it using descriptive and inferential statistics (e.g., summary statistics, cross-tabulation, t-tests, hypothesis testing, multivariate regression).
  • You will create effective data visualizations, presentations, dashboards, and reports that convey insights to both technical and non-technical audiences, using data visualization tools such as ggplot and Looker. 

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics (e.g., summary statistics, cross-tabulation, t-tests, hypothesis testing, multivariate regression)
  • Proficiency using a statistical language (ex. R, Python, etc.)
  • Proficiency or willingness to learn SQL 
  • Bonus points for experience using data visualization tools such as ggplot and Looker

Cash compensation range: 90400-135600 USD Annually

The cash compensation above includes base salary, on-target commission for employees in eligible roles, and annual bonus targets under HubSpot’s bonus plan for eligible roles. In addition to cash compensation, all HubSpotters are eligible to participate in HubSpot’s equity plan to receive restricted stock units (RSUs). Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay. Individual compensation packages are based on a few different factors unique to each candidate, including their skills, experience, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
