Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Provide technical support of various projects and implementations
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for development
  • Provide elevated technical support to clients and internal customers via ServiceNow ticket submissions
  • Provide analytics and research to support for audits, incidents and service requests
  • Identify and report data quality issues to ensure ongoing data quality, accuracy and completeness 
  • Document data flows and data modeling to support the organizational common data model
  • Work with team to establish and maintain an accessible repository of policies and procedures based on best practice
  • Act as a liaison and SME for other functional areas including Reporting, Development, Technical Operations and Technical Support, and Data Testing

Required Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis/engineering, computer science or similar discipline or equivalent experience 
  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL with moderate to complex skill level
  • 3+ years of experience writing technical requirements, data flows and modeling
  • 3+ years of experience working with health care data to include member, provider, claims and pharmacy
  • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • 3+ years of experience documenting technical processes and defining requirements for user stories
  • 3+ years of experience working in a matrixed, fast-paced and high-change environment handling tight deadlines
  • Ability to travel as much as 10% for both operational and client-facing engagements


Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience in health care compliance/regulatory environment
  • Experience with commercial, Medicare and Medicaid LOBs
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Blog Storage, Snowflake, OICS, Rally, GitHub
  • Ability to use advanced functions in Microsoft Excel 
  • Experience with ServiceNow
  • Experience Visio and/or Draw.IO, MS Project experience
  • Knowledge of claims platforms and integration of claims processes to these platform

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $173,200 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
