Overview
The Data Quality & Governance Team (DQ&G) is an internal audit team accountable for People/HR Data accuracy and the People Data Policy driving principles and practices for the effective management of Nielsen’s associate data in accordance with local laws and GDPR. The Regional Data Lead reports to the Director, People Data Quality and Governance. This role will be accountable for the below for their assigned Region:

General Responsibilities

    • Accountable for accurate People/HR data in assigned region
    • Perform regular audits on People/HR data, access to said data, and data processes for the region as part of global quality and compliance practices
    • Assist root cause analysis and resolution steps
    • Immerse yourself into your assigned region to ensure knowledge of specific People/HR data differences, structure, initiatives, and maintenance legalities
    • Partner with regional People/HR team members and Business, and serve as an advisor
    • Ensure adherence to guidelines, processes, and procedures
    • Drive data defect resolution and root cause collection
    • Bring visibility to gaps in process, systems, and knowledge by engaging appropriate team(s) to the gaps and hold accountable for resolution 
    • Own process for provisioning of access to People/HR data including rules and audits in accordance with Privacy Laws
    • Support regional/global projects & initiatives such as:
    • Implementation of new guidelines, processes, and procedures 
    • Acquisitions/Divestitures
    • Restructuring

Process Governance & Continuous Improvement Responsibilities

    • Ensure adherence to the Nielsen People Data Quality and Governance Policy
    • Participate in improving data quality and simplifying the manager, People, and employee experience 
    • Educate managers, employees, and regional People team members on Policy and other areas as needed to promote data accuracy 
    • Advise on process & system improvements that would improve quality and efficiency

Qualifications

    • 5 years HR systems experience, SAP preferred
    • Experience creating HRIS reports and producing audit analysis 
    • Experience in data auditing 
    • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills. Builds consensus and promotes the exchange of information among team members
    • Ability to implement changes to current practices and processes
    • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on user efficiency and simplification Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
    • Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks and changing priorities
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
    • Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and quickly adapt to change

A reasonable estimate of salary range for a new employee to be offered this role would be between $38,000-$155,000, which would be adjusted based on each employee's geographic location.  The position of each employee within a compensation range at Nielsen is dependent on several individual circumstances, such as experience, training, certifications and other business requirements/needs.
