Description

Major Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Partner with GM business units, IT, vendors, and external organizations to design data products
  • Participate in CDAO agile teams as the Product Owner role.
  • Work with Portfolio management on intake and prioritization.
  • Drive strategic decisions regarding the technology stack best suited to delivery high quality data products
  • Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges that drive business impact
  • Develop presentations to summarize and communicate key messages to senior management sponsors and colleagues.
  • Coordinates across several stakeholder and departments to define and align on the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) where applicable.
  • Partners with architecture teams to analyze the cost and impact of solving these market problems through detailed solutions analysis discussions.
  • Passionate about continuous learning and professional development.
  • 5-8 years of proven experience as a product manager, data analyst, business analyst, or similar role;
  • Establish and analyze metrics and user feedback to continuously improve the product;
  • Able to translate ambiguous business problems into a structured, conceptual framework;
  • Create and manage effective Go to Market strategies to ensure successful adoption of new product offerings;
  • Effective communication and presentation skills. Can work both independently and collaboratively;

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Engineering or Information Management) or related discipline;
  • 3-5 years in a product management role with a portfolio of successful, large scale data integration and management initiatives;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • You are great at presenting and sharing ideas and collaborating cross-functionally with people at all levels of the organization;
  • Proven experience independently developing and implementing recommended approaches to complex / ambiguous problems while making thoughtful trade-offs;
  • Organizational and management skills demonstrating the ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a cross-functional organization;
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities with the ability to motivate others to lead cross-functional teams;
  • Strong SQL, Excel, and quantitative skills as well as experience with big data and/or complex data sets;
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills;
  • Familiar and fluent in SQL and/or other advanced query languages and data extraction tools;
  • Solid track record of technical acumen, being able to quickly understand technical details of a product or platform;
  • Strong communication and leadership skills; highly adept at managing stakeholder expectations and balancing competing urgent priorities;
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to structure and process qualitative data and draw insightful conclusions.

Other Desired Qualifications:

  • Business Architecture certification or equivalent experience
  • Experience with vehicle telemetry and geospatial data
