Description

The Applied Analytics COE team is responsible for developing analytics-driven solutions to help GM Organizations achieve their business goals. The Applied Analytics Manager will lead a multi-disciplinary team of various experience levels that will be driving solution design, development, and deployment of analytic models in partnership with CDAO business facing analytic groups.  The team is responsible for both project-based solutions and applied analytics strategy, focusing on the most critical business needs.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Partner with client facing analytic teams and the business to identify high impact opportunities
  • Lead a cross-functional team to implement analytic solutions that address business challenges across a variety of business units
  • Collaborate with internal organizations to identify, frame, develop, and execute analytics projects successfully.
  • Create an environment that will not only support but encourage individual excellence, Workplace of Choice engagement and diversity, equity and inclusion.
  • Identify long-term technical innovations and collaborate with the Analytics Research COE


Additional Description

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience successfully leading data and/or decision science technical teams
  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following: digital services, aftersales, revenue management, sales & marketing, product development, portfolio planning, quality, supply chain, purchasing, or market research
  • Strong project management skills with demonstrated successes delivering in an agile manner
  • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral, presentation, and written communication skills
  • Ability to train, mentor, and evaluate the technical capabilities of others
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects at once without sacrificing quality
  • Ability to evaluate the big picture and solve business problems rather than focusing solely on metrics

Education and Experience:

  • Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Data Science, Analytics, Operations Research, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or other quantitative field
