People Analytics CoE (Community of Expertise) is looking for a People Analytics Data Visualization Consultant to join its newly formed Data Visualizations & Analytics Solutions team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing meaningful, easy to understand and actionable insights by connecting people data with critical business outcomes through powerful data visualizations. You will set the vision for what “great” could look like when it comes to data visualizations and storytelling. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of People Analytics dashboards and presentations and moving them to the next level where insights and recommendations are seamlessly embedded in every user interaction and every single chart. Your storytelling, consulting, and technical skills as well as ability to put business problems into visual context will have a significant impact on our ability to enable data-driven insights across our organization. This role requires a strong dashboard and visualization technical development experience and analytical consulting skills. What is in it for you? Responsibilities:

  • Deliver data and insights through interactive , creative , and professional visual graphics built on large static and live data sets 

  • Design, develop, test, and implement Power BI dashboards and visualizations supporting People Analytics projects and ad-hoc requests including data preparation, security design and access management, data visualizations design, testing, optimization, and automation processes 

  • Lead the implementation of enhanced dashboard access and data sharing security framework for People Analytics dashboards

  • Translate analysis outcomes into compelling data visualizations that are intuitive and prompt insights and actions

  • Manage portfolio of existing and future People Analytics Power BI dashboards and deliverables (enhancement roadmap, portfolio catalog, development prioritization, security, user adoption and training)

  • Develop best-in-class visualizations consulting guide and library to enhance user experience

  • Participate in gathering requirements and consulting with customers to understand business problems and find the best way to visualize outcomes

  • Lead the implementation of new dashboard solutions including UX training and enhancement development and improve storytelling skills

  • Deliver meaningful insights, trends, and analysis across all HR practice areas using a variety of internal and external data sources

  • Collaborate with IT on building enhanced dashboards for existing HR users (proof of concept development, requirements gathering, data visualizations best practices etc.)

  • Use data to tell stories by creating visually appealing reports, Power BI dashboards, and presentations for our internal customers 

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of dashboard development (Power BI preferred) and data visualization experience providing data-driven recommendations

  • 3+ years leading dashboard development in People Analytics or Talent Analytics roles

  • Experience developing and implementing enterprise-scale dashboards and reports, implementing row-level security models, and blending, optimizing, and automating multiple data sources

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL (R or Python are a plus)

  • Thorough understanding of data visualization design best practices (Power BI, executive presentations)

  • Analytical thinker and creative designer able to bring data to life

  • Ability to translate business requirements into a production dashboard, take complex datasets and create key takeaways and recommendations using several data sources

  • Strong data analytics, data accuracy, and consulting skills

  • Performance tuning experience related to data visualizations

  • Passionate about using data to tell stories

  • Experience using analytical and communication skills to lead initiatives and projects where storytelling to the business using HR dashboards resulted in a success

  • Experience using infographics and content management tools (e.g., WordPress) is a plus

  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing and extract, transform, load (ETL) is a plus

This role can be a remote (anywhere in the United States) or a hybrid position (Detroit metro area).

Additional Description

Remote - This position does not require the employee to be on-site full-time to perform most effectively. The Employees role enables them to work off-site on a permanent basics

  • The median level of salary compensation for this role is ($161,295.57 ).
