In this role you will partner with our internal teams and current customers to develop and deploy superior machine learning models that drive growth using first- and third-party data. Your deep curiosity and tenacity, combined with business judgment will surface opportunities to apply data science to various business problems, including optimizing B2B marketing budgets, applicant selection scoring, etc. Your algorithms will be leveraged to deliver superior results which actively contribute to Fountain’s rapid growth.

Reporting to the VP, Data Science, Analysis and Insights you will have the opportunity to showcase your work to the leadership team. You will lay the foundation to build a high-caliber team reporting to you, expanding Data Science and driving the roadmap for new applications across the organization. 

What you'll be doing:

    • Program using R, Python, Javascript, Java, or C++
    • Perform big data modeling work: BigQuery, Pig, Scala, Spark
    • Fish for data: SQL, Pandas, PostgreSQL
    • Deploy Data Science solutions: Java, Python, C++
    • Can communicate concisely and persuasively with engineers and product managers

What you should bring:

    • Significant prior success as a Data, Product, or Decision Scientist working on challenging problems at scale
    • Bachelor’s degree required in Computer Science, Statistics, or Mathematics or equivalent field required
    • 5+ years of industry experience, with expertise in Data Science, Business Analytics, or Data Analysis
    • Strong ability to code in Python
    • Have full stack experience in data collection, aggregation, analysis, visualization, productionization, and monitoring

    • Advanced graduate degree (e.g., MBA, PhD, etc.)
    • Experience includes building and leading talented teams
