And you? You’re an experienced data engineer looking to build pipe, connect, and organize the data underpinning advanced data solutions to enable hourly workers around the globe. You’ll use your experience developing and maintaining robust, scalable data pipelines to deliver clean data to analysts and customers alike, demonstrating technical excellence and extraordinary empathy in every aspect of your work.
What you'll be doing:
- Translating business requirements into pipelines that underpin Fountain’s internal and external data products
- Creating and implementing processes that ensure the validity, quality, security, and privacy of data within Fountain
- Exercising technical leadership in design discussions and code review
- Building leverage through the teammates you mentor, the code you improve, and the culture you help grow
- Learning every day
What you should bring:
- Experience collaborating directly with data science and product engineering teams
- Experience with modern data processing, orchestration, and retrieval technologies (think Glue, BigQuery, Looker, Airflow, dbt, Great Expectations, etc.)
- 5+ years experience using a general-purpose programming language like TypeScript, Ruby (and Rails), Python, or Golang
- Deep understanding of ETL/ELT design methodologies, architecture, strategy, and tactics for complex ETL solutions and transformation
- Experience using infrastructure as code tools to manage public cloud infrastructure (we use Terraform with AWS/GCP)
Salary Range: $165,000 - $202,400 USD
