Data Scientist (Remote) (Canada)

Qualifications and Skills
- Relevant degree in Computer Science, Machine learning, Physics, Mathematics.
- At least 2 years of experience developing and implementing data science solutions.
- Hands on experience working on machine learning and data analysis/mining.
- A strong understanding of the principles of Statistics.
- Good understanding of ML concepts, theories and algorithms.
- Experience with using various statistics/ML libraries, e.g. Scipy, Statsmodel, SciKit, Tensorflow, or similar.
- Knowledge of Python and familiarity with Java are assets.
- Hands-on experience with Jupyter Notebooks.
- Database experience and knowledge of SQL.
- Experience with analyzing large volumes of data is an asset.
- Authorized to legally work in Canada
Nice to haves
- Familiarity with distributed systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with Spark or other Big Data technologies.
- Familiarity with AWS, GCP, Node JS, and Python are assets.
- Eager to learn and willing to take initiatives
