Our ideal candidate will lead or assist in ML model development to support software updates to our connected vehicles and predict connected feature performance. Responsibilities

What you’ll be able to do: 

Critical Thinking: Influence the strategic direction of the company by finding opportunities in large, rich data sets and crafting/implementing data driven strategies that fuel growth including cost savings, revenue, and profit.

Modeling: Develop, test, validate, and implement statistical/predictive models using cutting- edge algorithms and diverse sources of data.

Analytics: Use analytical applications and languages like Python, Alteryx, and tools in GCP to identify trends and relationships between different pieces of data, drawing appropriate conclusions and translating analytical findings into business strategies or analytics software.

Data Engineering: Craft ETL processes to source and link data in preparation for Model/Algorithm development. Be the domain expert of data sets in the environment, third-party data evaluations, and data quality.

Storytelling: Build visualizations to connect disparate data, find patterns, and tell engaging stories. This includes both scientific and geographic visualizations using applications such as QlikSense and GCP Data Products.

Qualifications

The minimum requirements we seek:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or related field or a combination of education and equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience of statistical and machine learning methods and their accurate application e.g., ANOVA, clustering methods, causal inference, time series forecasting, random forest, multi-variate analysis, neural networks, etc. 
  • 2+ years of experience with Python (and related modules), SQL, Cloud (preferably GCP)
  • 2+ years’ experience working in a multi-functional, agile product team environment/analytic delivery team

Our Preferred Requirements:

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or related field or a combination of education and equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in Automotive, Transportation, Digital Business, or Analytics Consulting
  • 2+ years of experience with executive presentation preparation and delivery
  • Expertise in open-source data science technologies such as Python, Spark, Hadoop, etc. acquired through college course work, online training and certification, or project development 
  • Self-motivated with excellent verbal and written skills
  • Highly credible, organized, able to manage their time well, has great decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity working with Automotive OEM/ Ford connected vehicle data and relevant infrastructure
  • Familiarity working with big data to develop scalable, production-ready solutions
