Position Summary:

As the Data Scientist, you will support Blue by ADT’s DIY business. The Data Scientist will focus on generating data-driven insights to grow the DIY business, better understand existing customers, and increase attachment and upsell opportunities. This role involves extracting and analyzing data across various systems (digital platforms, CRM, etc.), evaluating effectiveness of marketing tactics, and identifying trends and opportunities for improvement across the entire marketing funnel.

The ideal candidate will have a deep working knowledge of digital and ecommerce analytics, and be able to employ various analytical and statistical tools for evaluating trends and measuring performance against quantitative and qualitative objectives

Responsibilities:

  • Work with business stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve performance of business activities.
  • Build analytic solutions to deliver insights for operational decisions
  • Design, implement, and analyze results of A/B tests
  • Conduct ad-hoc analysis based on business priorities to help key decisions
  • Identify and estimate trade-offs between business objectives, such as efficiency, cost, and customer satisfaction.
  • Consult and educate others on how to utilize analytics in business processes

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience in data analytics, preferably in a direct to consumer environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, or Economics
  • The ability to explain complex concepts and move decisions forward in collaboration with business partners
  • Intellectual curiosity with a willingness to respectfully challenge ideas, to support growth
  • Able to use data to weave a strong narrative and tell a compelling story
  • Ability to think objectively and interpret meaningful themes from quantitative and qualitative data
  • Have a bias for action, a sense of urgency, and a willingness to dive into the data
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate data clearly with business stakeholders and executives
  • Experience with data visualization and BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, Mode, etc.
  • Ability to write complex SQL queries
  • Python and/or R skills a plus
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office – advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
  • An understanding of Data Engineering, and ETL solutions
  • Experience applying statistical methods, machine learning, and econometric models to datasets
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Commerce Cloud is a PLUS
