Job Description

This role is ideal for a results-focused individual with a background in EEG signal processing who excels at solving problems with a cutting-edge data science team. The right candidate will have strong technical abilities to take on challenges in various life science, pharma, and tech industries. A background in data science, bioinformatics, neuroscience, drug development, human behavior, and signal processing is a plus.

This is a three-month part-time contract that may extend or convert to a full-time position for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Clean data and identify anomalies from a large EEG dataset
  • Explore data to generate hypotheses, research similar problems for ideas, brainstorm with teammates to strategize potential solutions, test their feasibility, and contribute to their development
  • Present findings and collaborate with data science team to help with the development of medical devices, applications, and insights

Qualifications

  • Pursuing PhD, or a Postdoctoral researcher in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Physics, Computational Biology, or related field
  • Passion for solving complex data engineering and modeling tasks
  • Knowledge of relational databases, data modeling, and schema normalization techniques
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment

Additional Information

Valuable Skills/Experience

  • Expertise with EEG signal processing software such as Matlab or Auto Magic
  • Experience in high-performance cloud computing and Python a plus
  • Background in data engineering or data science a plus
