The Data Visualization Analyst will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining technical processes and visualizations that help support and facilitate business efforts. This position supports the business team as the technical process subject matter expert & improvement resource. The candidate must enjoy thinking outside of the box, have excellent multi-tasking skills around report creation via SQL, Alteryx or Tableau, and running QA and process verification. This team member will also work with business analysts with BRD development, work with stakeholders to answer questions, help define the operational impact of proposed modifications, perform UAT, and any other related ad hoc work as  requested.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain SQL and SSIS efforts that help support and facilitate business efforts
  • Work with business to understand their requirements and need, design an appropriate solution, build out processes as needed, and maintain technology processes to support business efforts
  • Building report queries
  • Data staging & managing data enablement for the application
  • Identify best practices and key areas for improvement
  • Monitor and report on program performance and outcomes
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of operating infrastructure to efficiently analyze and report
  • Improve existing processes to better align with changing operations and business needs
  • Develop innovative ways to address and appropriately prioritize the varying information needs of markets
  • Perform analytics to identify best business practices based on current and historical data
  • Serve as a liaison between Business SMEs, Business Analysts, and ensures that requirements and proposed solutions are understood
  • We work in an Agile Scrum environment, which means our work is collaborative and reacts to  customer needs

Required Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent
  • 4+ years of experience performing data analytics, process documentation, and process improvement
  • 3+ years of experience writing SQL queries, tables, and stored procedures
  • 3+ years of ETL experience
  • 2+ years of Tableau
  • Experience leading projects and building strong relationships across a variety of stakeholders
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, and solve problems under tight deadlines

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • 1+ years of Alteryx experience
  • 1+ years of PowerBI experience
  • 1+ years of SalesForce experience
  • Experience in handling and managing large volumes of data.
  • Experience in healthcare, understanding of Medicare Advantage/Risk Adjustment, Affordability/Medical Savings and Quality/STARS/HEDIS
  • Intermediate knowledge working with VBA or .NET
  • Intermediate knowledge working with TFS / Visual Studios
  • Knowledge of managed care and government pay for performance programs
  • Solid knowledge of CMS Risk Adjustment
  • Proven highly analytical, curious, and creative

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
