HubSpot’s mission is to Help Millions of Organizations Grow Better. HubSpot’s Revenue Operations team is core to this goal by supporting the HubSpotters who attract, engage, and delight HubSpot’s customers.

We believe in the power of data to drive effective decision-making. We leverage data for both day-to-day operations (improving efficiency by surfacing the right data at the right time) and for strategy (fostering deep understanding of what makes our flywheel spin, and projecting how to spin it faster in the future). In this role, you’ll be a member of the recently unified GTM data team and revolutionize our Looker development process, including LookML development and dashboard creation. We’re looking for someone with experience making Looker self-serviceable for analysts and stakeholders who can help us to grow this discipline at HubSpot.

You’ll work closely with Go-to-Market (Sales, Marketing, Customer Success) leadership and our team of analytics engineers to build a scalable Looker infrastructure that makes data easily accessible and usable. You will be a key contributor in the effort to bring together HubSpot’s previously siloed functional teams into a unified, scalable data architecture across our modern data stack (Looker, Snowflake, dbt, Monte Carlo). This is an exciting opportunity to leverage principles of user experience design when creating beautiful new Looker dashboards to enable data-driven decisions.

In this role you’ll get to:

  • Using your knowledge of Looker, help craft an effective model for self-serve data across the GTM organization
  • Dig deep into existing Looker projects across GTM and craft a vision for a scalable, effective Looker architecture
  • Identify opportunities to improve the structure of our Looker projects to improve clarity and collaboration and reduce duplicated effort
  • Translate business requirements to design, build, and own visually compelling and interactive Looker dashboards that communicate meaningful strategic insights
  • Work through iterative review cycles to deliver results that meet or exceed user expectations
  • Create and maintain coding standards and style guides for LookML development
  • Build Explores for users to answer business questions within given requirements for critical business needs
  • Train and mentor junior level programmers on Looker components
  • Utilize LookML parameters to increase end user experience
  • Articulate and document architectural solutions and processes
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with stakeholders and analytics engineers

We are looking for people who:

  • Are highly analytical and have an ability to turn data into actionable insights
  • Have advanced LookML skills and SQL knowledge with a solid understanding of relational databases and data modeling. Snowflake experience a plus
  • Have several years of experience building LookML dashboards, preferably for senior/executive audiences
  • Are comfortable working autonomously in a fast paced environment and interacting with senior stakeholders from a range of business functions
  • Have creative problem solving skills to identify flexible solutions to business questions
  • Have strong communication skills and ability to bridge between business leaders and analytics engineers
  • Are driven to define the right metrics and analysis to produce actionable insights
  • Looker LookML Developer certification, a plus
