Are you passionate about the use of Machine Learning to enable Olive to get smarter overtime while delivering value directly to health systems? As a Machine Learning Technical Lead, you will focus on providing technical guidance for a team of Machine Learning Engineers. You will support the team in the development of machine learning models and identify opportunities to optimize and automate machine learning workflows from hypothesis all the way through development, testing and production.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members to deliver ML and RPA solutions including but not limited to data analytics and analysis, ML model training, and RPA implementation
  • Identify machine learning architectures and models to solve complex data problems
  • Define new techniques and best practices for all areas of req and ML
  • Work with multiple Product Owners to define goals for your team, and help the team define scope, requirements, and features for machine learning projects
  • Communicate with Team Leads and Directors in order to make technical decisions that impact machine learning workflow
  • Document process, procedures, and training materials for staff and internal / external stakeholders
  • Solution oriented leader who demonstrates creativity and curiosity.
  • Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, or in an Engineering or Sciences discipline or related degree
  • At least 4 years experience in analytics or data science, or a Masters degree in one of the abovementioned fields and 2 years of relevant/scientific experience
  • Experience with Agile tools, Jira, Trello, Pivotal Tracker, or related
  • Strong mathematics and data analysis skills
  • Solid understanding of data types, structures, and algorithms
  • Experience with building ML systems in production using the following ML tools: Keras, Jupyter Notebooks, Pandas, scikit-learn, Flask, OpenCV, Tesseract, Numpy, or similar
  • High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, creative decision-making, and technical problem-solving abilities
  • Strong and effective written and verbal interpersonal skills with the ability to tailor your message to your audience, including ability to work in a self-directed environment
  • Able to develop process improvement plans that incorporate observations and key performance trends

Preferred Skills/Experience Nice to Have:

  • Graduate degree in a mathematical, scientific, or engineering discipline
  • Experience in analyzing healthcare or biomedical data
  • Past involvement or exposure to authoring research papers, findings reports, or conference proceedings
  • Understanding of Continuous Integration, testing, deployment & release methodologies
  • Version control such as GIT, Subversion, Team Foundation
  • Ability to understand large scale software & system architecture
