Are you passionate about the use of reporting and analytics techniques to enable Olive to get smarter overtime while delivering value directly to health systems? As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for designing and leading implementation of analytics solutions for our various products, including analytics techniques (e.g. statistical process control), insight tools development, and data infrastructure improvements. You will collaborate with analytic partners and business partners from product, customer success, data strategy, and infrastructure to develop effective solutions for our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver best-in-class critical metrics for our various products, and respond to internal and external customer requests and enquiries in a timely manner
  • Analyze product to recommend differentiated solutions/service opportunities that contributes to Olive’s value creation target
  • Work collaboratively with business and product stakeholders to identify high impact product analytics use cases that demonstrate value to the organization
  • Document projects including business objectives, data gathering and processing, detailed set of results and analytics metrics
  • Develop fluency with many disparate data sources and effectively communicate data needs and quality issues to guarantee a high standard of data governance and control
  • Readily query, transform, and combine data to address the needs of business stakeholders, and be able to communicate the limitations of working with large, and often messy, healthcare datasets
  • Build small- to midsize business intelligence (BI) solutions – data sets, queries, reports, dashboards, analyses – or components of larger solutions to answer business questions with data
  • Write secure, stable, testable, and maintainable code with minimal defects, and automate manual processes where possible
  • Troubleshoot data, analyses, and code, research root causes, propose solutions, and take ownership in next steps for their resolution
  • Create presentations and reports for business stakeholders that clearly and succinctly identify the impact and value demonstrated by a given analysis.·
  • Execute on multiple projects simultaneously while being cognizant of project priorities and established timelines.·
  • Bachelor Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, or in an Engineering or Sciences discipline or related degree
  • Proven working experience as a Data Analyst with experience in analyzing healthcare or biomedical data
  • Experience with data querying or modeling with SQL
  • Experience with building and maintain basic data artifacts (e.g. ETL, data models, queries)
  • Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI)
  • Knowledge of how to improve code quality and optimizes analysis processes (e.g. speed, cost, reliability)
  • High degree of resourcefulness, flexibility, creative decision-making, and technical problem-solving abilities
  • Strong and effective written and verbal interpersonal skills with the ability to tailor your message to your audience, including ability to work in a self-directed environment
  • Able to develop process improvement plans that incorporate observations and key performance trends

Preferred Skills/Experience Nice to Have:

  • Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design
  • Experience with parsing and querying JSON data
  • Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java)
  • Experience with Agile tools, Jira, Trello, Pivotal Tracker, or related
  • Application of basic statistical methods (e.g. regression) for difficult business problems
  • Understanding of continuous Integration, testing, deployment and release methodologies
  • Version control such as GIT, Subversion, Team Foundation
  • Ability to understand large scale software and system architecture
  • Knowledge of programming concepts that support computational efficiencies (parallelism, container-based code
