Job Overview:

Be part of building a brand new research team that will inform conversations in healthcare. This new team, Olive’s “Data Fountain” research team, will be in charge of surfacing valuable insights from the company’s healthcare data. These insights will support the company’s reason for being, which is to help fix the broken healthcare system. The goal of Olive’s Data Fountain is to become a go-to public source for healthcare insights and, in doing so, help drive awareness of Olive’s role as the company delivering true innovation to the industry.

We are looking for an experienced researcher and project manager who is passionate about unleashing the power of data to generate insights that raise awareness and inform public discussion. The Research Manager should be skilled at building data products that influential external audiences love and that will fundamentally change healthcare. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll-out research. This role will be responsible for planning and execution, including: defining research projects and an editorial calendar, gathering and prioritizing requirements, and working closely with data scientists, marketing and others to ensure goals are met.

The team reports directly to our Chief Marketing Officer so they’re able to gain first-hand knowledge of our vision and influence company strategy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to shaping the vision and drive successful delivery of new data products, features to keep the business relevant and competitive
  • Conduct market and customer research to identify potential features or releases
  • Manage the roadmap, timeline, prioritize product opportunities, refine feature ideas and maintain existing features to drive business goals
  • Maintain and update existing features
  • Produce high-level product requirements, iterate with your design and engineering teams
  • Engage stakeholders in leadership, research, data, and support, and a coordinate across teams to maintain product and strategy alignment
  • Coordinate go-to-market strategies when launching a new product or feature
  • Collaborate seamlessly across marketing, the PR agency, and other Data Fountain colleagues in functional areas across the organization
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in data project management, software product management, or related areas
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • A proven track record of working with designers, data scientists, and various stakeholders to coordinate, plan, execute, and track product releases from beginning to end
  • Collaborative, a team player
  • Self-starter able to manage ambiguity and thrive in a dynamic startup environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding project and time management skills
  • Strong problem solving skills and willingness to think outside the box and roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
  • You don’t need to be a senior software engineer, but a technical background is a plus
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies is also a plus


Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in quantitative discipline
  • Previous Healthcare experience
  • Previous Startup experience
  • Previous experience in the use of data to support marketing and communications
