Manager, Analytics

The Customer Success Strategy and Operations (CSSO) team at HubSpot is responsible for defining and driving our customers’ success from concept through execution. To help fuel HubSpot growth, we are looking for a Manager, Analytics to lead our Central Analytics Team in driving forward a unified methodology and single source of truth for what data matters in optimizing our Reps engagements.

Our focus is to understand what opportunities exist for our human-led cadence to reduce friction in our customers’ ability to learn, grow, and realize value with HubSpot.  As a Manager, Analytics, you will lead the team in short-loop research cycles, which will be pivotal in identifying and driving tech-led strategies to guide the long term growth of our rapidly growing customer base.

We are looking for a strategic, results-oriented Manager who believes in continuously improving our analytical rigor, and is eager to drive change management in the context of a rapidly evolving SaaS business. The right candidate has the grit, agility, and analytical mindset to drive big change.

In this role, you will:

  • Own the Central Analytics team’s quarterly roadmap process, being accountable for the delivery of a high volume of actionable insights and research that our cross-functional stakeholders can leverage to obtain results.
  • Own hiring, growth and development of a high performing team.
  • Inform, guide, and coach analytical and experimentation measurement best practices.
  • Play a key role in annual planning, setting the narrative for what our business needs to achieve its goals in the year to come.
  • Leverage your analytical and technical aptitude to effectively understand problems and opportunities, and drive solutions. 
  • Set a plan and operating cadence to not only ensure your team stays on track to quarterly and annual targets, but also creates a communication stream and feedback loop for our stakeholders to partner in the work we’re driving.
  • Dive into opportunity areas, assessing where we can experiment and analyze outcomes to ensure we’re investing in the right solutions.
  • Drive decision-making and communicate progress across all levels of the organization, including HubSpot’s executive leadership team.

To be successful in the job you need to:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree; MBA a plus
  • Have 5+ years of professional experience, ideally in the software (SaaS) industry
  • Be an innovator and agile, empathetic leader supporting teams to do their best work.
  • Establish partnerships and exert informal influence, across all levels
  • Be comfortable in quantitative analysis and informing decisions with data
  • Define and drive complex programs through completion
  • Highly flexible in adapting to the needs of the team and organization
  • Be a superb communicator and are able to translate data: cross-functionally, laterally and vertically
  • Have hands-on experience across Data and Reporting, Business Intelligence, or other analytical backgrounds. SQL proficiency required. 
  • Are experienced using applied statistics and applying advanced analytical techniques (Python, R and other languages) to drive more efficient business processes
  • Thrive in a fast-paced working environment, can pivot and work autonomously
  • Have experience owning all stages of program and change management, from ideation and hypothesis testing through gaining executive buy-in and field execution.
  • Be proficient in experimental design and practical application of such techniques.
  • Actively assist in the development of others, driving best practices, standards and methodology
