What You'll Do

Lead a team focused on delivering business insights using advanced analytical expertise/ techniques/tools that materially improve critical decisions by senior management and drive the enterprise data governance mission/strategy forward. This position provides effective leadership and hands-on, practical executional guidance to a specialized analytical team of both direct and indirect reports.

Reporting to the VP of Strategy and Operations, this role will lead business impacting, cross-functional projects in data governance and predictive analytics, provide business requirements for process automation and coordinate the change management and adoption of all business capabilities related to data governance and advanced analysis.

What You Will be Responsible for 

  • Provide input and significantly influence the development and refinement of company strategies (based on advanced data analysis and tools).
  • Develop strong client relationships with cross-functional business partners.
  • Lead the development and deployment of customer segmentations and other KPI models to predict the impact of potential actions or programs being considered.
  • Lead innovation in analytical methodologies and tools, staying abreast of industry developments related to analytics and proactively exploring opportunities to advance organizational capabilities.
  • Identify additional data requirements and partner with the database administrators to collect and organize new data elements.
  • Maintain proficiency with major business systems and the data on which it relies.
  • Become the subject matter expert on methodologies and data sources.
  • Analyze data, employing statistical concepts, and present recommendations based on that data.
  • Partner closely with other team members to ensure appropriate integration of data.
  • Oversee enterprise data governance program development.  Architect the solution and framework.  
  • Administer the data governance program, including facilitating the data governance council meetings.  
  • Develop and deliver data governance programs educational, awareness, and mentoring materials.  
  • Establish, maintain, and recommend changes to data governance policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.  
  • Support data quality issue analysis and remediation for “strategic” data.  
  • Conduct audits to ensure that policies, procedures and metrics are in place for maintaining/improving the program.

  • Comfortable with ambiguity, and creating a function that has not been clearly defined and owned before

What Makes You Qualified

  • Previous experience in business strategy, operations, and analysis, 7+ years
