About the Role: 

As a Data Engineer you will play a key role in building our data warehouse platform and empower our customers to make data-driven decisions. The ideal candidate is someone who is not only a data geek – but someone who also knows how to process large amounts of data efficiently and present it in an actionable manner.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Defining and implementing our Big Data technology strategy
• Architecting, designing, and developing Big Data applications
• Creating and maintaining data models
• Gathering requirements and assisting stakeholders in formulating their data needs.
• Performing tasks such as writing scripts, complicated SQL queries, etc.
• Working closely with application engineering teams to integrate application data into our data warehouse.
• Processing data into a form suitable for analysis.
• Supporting business users with ad hoc data analysis and presentations using data visualization tools as needed.
• Monitoring data warehouse system performance and optimizing ETL queries as needed.

About You:

• 10+ years of recent experience in data engineering.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent
  experience. 
• Prior experience with AWS and Redshift is required.
• Experience with Athena, Tableau, and data lakes is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, Airflow, Docker, and data warehouse
  technologies required.
• Knowledge of data modeling, data cleansing, wrangling, visualization and
  reporting, with an understanding of the best, most efficient use of associated
  tools and applications to complete these tasks.
• Experience processing large amounts of structured and unstructured data,
  including integrating data from multiple sources.
• A willingness to explore new alternatives or options to solve data issues, and
  utilize a combination of industry best practices, data innovations and your
  experience to get the job done.
• Experience in production support and troubleshooting.
