What You'll Be Doing:

• Design and develop Big Data applications
• Gather requirements and assist stakeholders in formulating their data needs
• Perform tasks such as writing scripts, complicated SQL queries, etc
• Work closely with application engineering teams to integrate application data into data warehouse
• Process data into a form suitable for analysis
• Support business users with ad hoc data analysis and presentation using data visualization tools as needed
• Monitor data warehouse system performance and optimize ETL queries as needed

About You:

• 3 – 7 years of recent experience in data engineering
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience
• Prior experience with AWS and Redshift is required
• Experience in Athena, Tableau, and Data Lakes is a plus
• Strong knowledge of SQL, Python, Airflow, Docker, and data warehouse technologies required
• Knowledge of data cleansing, wrangling, visualization and reporting, with an understanding of the best, most efficient use of associated tools and applications to complete these tasks
• Experience processing large amounts of structured and unstructured data, including integrating data from multiple sources
• A willingness to explore new alternatives or options to solve data issues, and utilize a combination of industry best practices, data innovations and your experience to get the job done
• Experience in production support and troubleshooting
