Our revenue team is growing! We are looking for an experienced strategy analyst to join the Revenue Strategy & Operations team, which spearheads cross-functional strategic initiatives to strengthen the connection between our athletes’ happiness and business outcomes. This person will drive growth strategies, analyze data, help prioritize initiatives, plot future investments, and collaborate with teammates in product, finance, content strategy, engineering and analytics. They will balance specializing in key business areas with diving into emergent top priority initiatives for company leadership. They will develop a deep understanding of athlete behavior and our monetization funnel, as well as be an early contributor to the strategy and execution of future business objectives.

 

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will:

  • Deliver on top priority projects that range from recurring analysis to one-off strategic initiatives

  • Analyze and report on business trends to the broader team and executive leadership

  • Project in-month results of key operational metrics and identify sources of variance

  • Analyze revenue pipeline to identify gaps and opportunities, as well as building out reporting capabilities and insights for sales team

  • Collaborate with product teams to identify and drive strategies to drive results within our paid subscriber base, overall athlete community and new business areas

  • Connecting product and marketing investments to the business through goal-setting, metric development, and opportunity sizing

  • Contribute to monetization strategy, competitive analysis and pricing strategy for future business initiatives

  • Support investor and M&A diligence activities

 

You will be successful here by:

  • Getting your hands dirty and digging into data yourself, while maintaining the big picture objectives in mind

  • Developing frameworks, analyses and processes that improve business decision-making

  • Expressing curiosity and taking the next step in an initiative on your own

  • Keeping in mind the athlete as our core customer

  • Building strong relationships with cross-functional partners

  • Helping us identify opportunities we are not thinking about yet, which can unlock further business growth

 

We’re excited about you because you bring:

  • 2 - 4 years of experience in business operations, strategy, consulting or similar background

  • Expertise in Excel and/or Google Sheets (and perhaps strong opinions on their relative strengths)

  • Experience with (or willingness to learn) Tableau and SQL, which will become a regular part of your day-to-day toolkit

  • Experience with (or willingness to learn) experimentation strategy

  • Experience independently driving ambiguous workstreams with disparate stakeholders

  • Prior background in consumer subscriptions or enterprise sales is a plus

  • Ability to analyze diverse data sets and emerge with a clear understanding and story

  • Strong communication skills, with experience presenting to executive audiences

  • A desire to make the Strava experience better for our athletes
