As our Senior Analytics Engineer, you will help company leaders make better decisions by building and maintaining our data stack to power analysis, insights, and reports.

We love collaborating here at Wellthy and in this role you will work closely with all areas of our organization (Marketing, Product, Client Success and Care Team).

You will report directly to our Director of Data Science and Analytics

To be successful in this role:

  • Design, build, and maintain data transformations using dbt for analytics and empower end users to do some self-service reporting and data exploration
  • Leverage software engineering best practices and technical knowledge to optimize performance of our ELT process and automate analytic workflows
  • Collaborate with data analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to determine data requirements for downstream analyses and projects
  • Support company-wide efforts to improve data quality, accessibility, and governance
  • Ensure data quality and integrity via testing
  • Help evaluate analytics tools to best meet the needs of the organization
  • Contribute to the improvement of data team best practices, workflows, and documentation to ensure we are building a sustainable and scalable data function
  • Troubleshoot and communicate data issues and processes to internal stakeholders
  • Use a modern data stack of Fivetran, Snowflake, dbt, Hightouch, Snowplow, and Thoughtspot.

Qualifications required for this role include:

  • Analytics modeling experience
  • Experience designing schemas for user event tracking to support product analytics (e.g. Snowplow, Segment, Rudderstack)
  • Advanced SQL skills
  • Expertise building and maintaining data transformations with dbt or similar tools
  • Proficient using the command line and version control (git)
  • Experience querying and managing a cloud data warehouse (e.g. Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift)
  • Strong communicator, life-long learner, problem solver, and always curious

Qualifications that are preferred but not mandatory:

  • Intermediate Python
  • Experience with a data orchestration tool (e.g. Airflow, Prefect, Dagster)
  • Experience in building reporting in modern BI tools (e.g. Thoughtspot, Looker, Tableau, etc)
  • Experience automating data workflows
  • Experience with a variety of AWS tools

  • Salary Range: $125,000.00 - $152,000.00

Location:

This is a fully remote position.  Our Wellthian’s are located throughout the United States but we are currently not accepting candidates in the following states: Alaska, Hawaii, Idaho, Maine, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, and West Virginia.
