In your data science role, you will collaborate with Service, Partnerships and other business units across the organization to ensure work is completed with insights from knowledgeable coworkers. The Sr. Data Scientist work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action. You will report to the CTO, and partner closely with our COO and Product team.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and analyze product experiments, and communicate findings to key stakeholders to inform product recommendations
  • Build dashboards using data visualization tools to improve business operations
  • Provide subject matter expertise on analytics engineering architecture and best practices
  • Establish data science development methodologies and data governance
  • Perform ad hoc analysis for stakeholders across functional business units
  • Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Build and train a breadth of predictive models using supervised learning methods
  • Define data quality standards and implement appropriate profiling and testing methods to mitigate data errors
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
  • Provide ongoing reports, interpret data, and analyze results using statistical techniques to help drive business decisions
  • Build and manage a team of data scientists

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in research design and statistics; Master’s preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in data science, healthcare informatics and/or data analytics
  • Experience building, testing and managing large-scale, end-to-end data integration / ETL systems for high-transaction products
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and other packages a plus
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
