In this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Design, build, automate and maintain business analysis, dashboards and reports, including in-depth analytics and cohort analysis of key metrics such as LTV, ARPU, ROI, etc.
- Identify patterns and trends and interpret them to effectively provide insights and make logical recommendations that will inform data driven decision-making
- Work closely with Data Science, Product and Marketing teams to develop monthly, quarterly and annual revenue forecasts and perform variance analysis on actuals to forecast
- Provide assistance on ad-hoc projects as required
We're looking for someone who has:
- 5+ years of experience in a business intelligence role
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving capabilities and hands-on experience with data; working knowledge of data modelling and data warehouse principles
- Excellent SQL knowledge, moving beyond basic SELECT statements to write and debug complex queries
- A passion for solving challenging and impactful problems; getting into the weeds by understanding the how and why of business processes
- Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to work in collaboration with various team members and confidence to express views
- Strong communication skills including effective writing skills; ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple and easy-to-understand way
- Confidence to embrace new ways of doing things, including automating functions and looking for continuous improvement
- Proactive and assertive and acts without being told what to do; brings new ideas to Wealthsimple
- Honesty and integrity; doesn't cut corners; does what is right
- A desire to work in a fast growing, dynamic environment
Nice to have:
- In-depth experience with data visualization and business intelligence tools (such as: Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, Apache Superset)
