Responsibilities
Uses various software applications such as desktop tools, spreadsheets, report writing software, statistical software, graphical presentation tools, and Business Intelligence applications to assemble, manipulate and/or format data. Maintain Business Intelligence models to design, develop and generate both standard and ad-hoc reports.
Generate reports for internal and external customers for business performance monitoring and business decision making. Works within controls to ensure the accuracy, timeliness and confidentiality of all reports, views, dashboards, analyses and user data. Adherence to all development standards and protocols including the likes of Change Management, Code Review, Documentation and Testing
Educate and advise internal customers on how to leverage available data for consumption. Must be able to develop, maintain, review and explain data models. Stay updated with business operations and Business Intelligence processes. Build relationships with Business Intelligence partners to understand data needs in order to execute with excellence on documented user requirements and prototypes
Demonstrated SQL skills with extensive experience in developing Business Intelligence solutions. Design, develop and troubleshoot extract packages that implement complex programming processes. Extracts operational, performance, statistical and other data from various information systems. Experience with dashboard design and delivery. Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and react to problems quickly. Must be able to translate concepts and directions into practical solutions.
Must have development experience with relational database structures, multi-dimensional database, and data warehouse design architecture. Determine business intelligence and data warehousing solutions to meet business needs. Identify and resolve data reporting issues in a timely fashion.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years' revenue cycle, system, or data delivery experience required.
Master's degree preferred.
Previous healthcare experience required. Requires knowledge and experience in reporting and analytics delivery software, such as Business Objects, Crystal Reports, SQL Server Management Studio, Tableau or Epic Cogito reporting framework. Requires knowledge of database and data structure in regards to reporting efficiencies. Prefer knowledge of physician and hospital billing systems for Governmental, managed care and commercial payers. Customer-service oriented, timely in responses to requests for service/information, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities, have the ability to work independently and possess leadership skills.
Epic Certification is required within first year of job acceptance.
