About the Role
As our newest Data Engineer, you would bring your database design sense and meticulous standards for clean data to the table. More than just understanding the strategic importance of data in a financial context, you’re eager to roll up your sleeves and build the infrastructure to support it. Responsibilities
- Practice the KOHO values
- Gather requirements for, and implement streaming, and batch pipelines
- Support business users in questions related to our data platform
- Implement shared infrastructure used by all services and teams within the KOHO platform
- Contribute to, and improve our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices
- Participate in rotating on-call duties, including incident management
- Develop a network outside of your team
Desired Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working with data
- Python, SQL, and Bash scripting
- AWS Cloud-based services (Glue, Redshift, Lambda)
- Orchestration tools (Airflow, Luigi)
- Logging, Monitoring, and Alerting tools (DataDog, PagerDuty)
- Experience solving problems and resolving outages in a large scale production environment
Nice-to-Have Skills
- CI/CD Pipelines (Jenkins)
- Stream Processing (Dataflow, PubSub, Kinesis)
- Infrastructure-as-a-code tools (CloudFormation, Terraform)
- RabbitMQ
- Containers and container orchestration (e.g. Docker, ECS, Kubernetes)
- Segment CDP
